Michigan Military Technical & Historical Society is pleased to announce two events this summer to be held in conjunction with the Chesterfield Historical Society. Both events will be held at the Chesterfield Historic Village in Sugarbush Rd north of 21 Mile.
The first event will be a timeline event. The event will be June 2-3 (Set up on the 1st) and will tie in with the Macomb County Bi-Centennial celebrations. We are seeking vehicles with a Macomb county connection, either built in Macomb (Dodge, GDLS) or vehicles that may have served in a Macomb County based unit (Selfridge, Warren Arsenal, or National Guard)(pretty much anything US...)
The second event is our annual WWII re-enactment. This event will be July 14-15 (Set up on the 13th) We pushed this event out one weekend to avoid conflicts with the 4th. All eras and types are welcomed for static display. WWII vehicles wanting to participate in the battles should be representative of the June-July 1944 France theme, and must be approved by our battle coordinator.
We have applied for funding to offer a fuel stipend, but this is still pending approval.
We will also be holding our annual museum car show on Friday June 8th from 4-8pm, All MV’s are welcome
